The Antimonopoly Committee permitted Dragon Capital Investments Limited to purchase two business centers from BTA Bank, according to AMCU’s message, EP reports.
The Dragon Capital Investments Limited (Nicosia, Cyprus) was permitted to indirectly (through Property Management Solutions TU LLC) purchase the assets of BTA Bank PJSC as the integral property complex of Prime Business Center, according to the text of message.
The same permission was obtained for purchasing Eurasia Business Center.
The Prime Business Center is located in Kyiv, in Zhylianska 48-50. The total area is 9,500 sq. m.
Eurasia BC, the area of which is 33,422 sq.m., is also located in 75 Zhylianska Str.
Dragon Capital Investments was affiliated with the investment company Dragon Capital.
Dragon Capital is one of the largest investment companies of Ukraine. The company was created in 2000 in Kyiv by the former employee of the Czech investment company named Wood&Co Tomas Fiala, who assumed control over the company.
Except for Fiala, the minority stockholders have shares in the company. One of the largest global banks Goldman Sachs was among them until recently.
The company provides the full spectrum of investment, banking and broker services for corporate and private clients. The Dragon Capital’s Broker Department is the largest Ukrainian stockbroker. Except for the stock market trading, the company also invested in the Ukrainian market of residential and commercial properties.
Thus, the British fund DUPD, created by Dragon Capital in February 2007, already invested more than 250 mln dollars in some projects in Ukraine.
Among them are the residential complex Obolon Residences, the cottage town Green Hills, the club village Riviera Villas, the hypermarket chain “Nova Linia” (“New Line”), the company Arricano, which invested in retail properties: the shopping and entertainment centers Skymall (Kyiv), Sun Gallery (Kryvyi Rig), City Mall (Zaporizhzhia), Inter Mall (Simferopil).
The assets of the investment company also include “Media-DK”, which publishes the journal and the site “New Time”. Fiala is also the chairman of the European Business Association and is considered as one of the most influential investment bankers in Ukraine.
