The pension reform, which assumes the modernization of pensions from October 1, 2017, will require additional UAH 40 billion in 2018, Deputy Minister of Social Policy Nikolai Shambor said during the briefing, UNIAN reports.
“For this year, for three months after October 1, we need 12 billion hryvnias. For the next year, according to tentative estimates, we will need UAH 40 billion”, he said.
Shambor added that per month, the amount, required for modernization, will be 3.8 billion hryvnias.
According to the deputy minister, the funds will be accumulated through additional collection of the single social tax due to increase of the minimum wage and expansion of the taxation base through decreasing the amount of the single social tax.
It was previously reported that the receipts of the single social tax to the Pension Fund in January-July exceeded planned figures by 15% or by 11 billion hryvnias.
