The police chief promised to return the confiscated foreign passport to the citizen of Uzbekistan for 7 thousand dollars.
The officials of the General Prosecutor’s Office and the State Security Service of Ukraine detained the Kyiv Airport police department chief for taking a bribe, according to the message of GPOU’s press office.
The chief of the police department of Kyiv Airport of the Solomensky District demanded and obtained 7 ths dollars from the citizen of Uzbekistan. For this money, he promised to return the confiscated foreign passport and cease the criminal proceeding.
The attorney was a mediator between the police chief and the citizen of Uzbekistan. Both suspects were detained while obtaining the last part of money.
For the committed criminal offence, the attorney and the police chief will carry a penalty of 10 years’ imprisonment.
