From October 1, IAU will start charging fee for printing out the boarding passes in the airport, at the registration counter, from economy class passengers of internal and international mid-haul flights, avianews reports quoting the updated rules of the air company.
The passengers, who underwent online registration and saved on the mobile device or printed out the issued boarding pass, will be able to avoid payment.
The registration and obtaining of boarding passes in the airport will remain free of charge for the economy class passengers, who travel by the long-haul flights, and business class passengers of all flights.
As an experiment, IAU introduced a fee for obtaining the boarding pass in the airport on such flights as Kyiv-Riga and Riga-Kyiv from July 1, 2017.
The amount of fee is equivalent to 20 dollars for the departure from Ukraine and 20 euros for the departure from Riga.
Wizz Air, airBaltic, El Al currently charges the fee for registration and printing out of the boarding pass in the airport.
