For the first half year of 2017, the trade volume of Ukraine with EU countries increased by almost a quarter, Ukrainian Truth reports, President Petro Poroshenko told on September 1 on the occasion of entire entry into force of the Ukraine-European Union Association Agreement.
“From January 1, 2016, we have a functioning deep and comprehensive free trade area with the European Union”, he noted.
“For 6 months of this year, the external trade of goods and services of Ukraine with EU countries increased by 22%. Almost 40% of our trade account for the European Union”, the President told.
By his conviction, the “historic change” already happened in favor of increased export to EU – and the processes of integration of the Ukrainian economy into European one are irreversible.
