The Ukrainian startup in renewable energy SolarGaps obtained funding from the European Commission under EU Framework Program for Research & Innovations, according to the project’s Facebook page, ET reports.
SolarGaps also ranked Top 15 among startups according to Tech.co.
SolarGaps is the “smart” shutters, which receive solar energy from windows. You may control them via smartphone. Meanwhile, the shutters automatically adjust the angel of fins so that they work effectively during different times of day.
Horizon 2020 is the largest framework program of the European Union for financing science and innovations with a total budget of about 80 bln euros, designed for 2014 – 2020. It is EU’s initiative, which allocates funds on a competitive basis to contribute to the development and implementation of innovations.
