The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine stated that the consequences of winter blockade of the region, which caused loss of 1% GDP growth in total, are the main reason for accumulation of debts in salary payment, Finance.ua reports quoting RBC-Ukraine.
It is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers reports. Thus, as of October 1, the largest amount of arrears (77.6% of the total amount of arrears) was seen in industry, but 37% of this amount accounts for Donetsk region and 14.5% - Lugansk. The total amount of arrears in the country is UAH 2.47 bln.
Meanwhile, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Lviv, Kherson, Kharkiv regions demonstrate the debt reduction dynamics.
“The tendency of physical increase of the number of debtor companies is observed in many different regions, where the increase of debts is fixed on the economically active companies. The increase of salary arrears in each of these companies is insignificant; however, it statistically influences the percentage of the total increase of arrears”, as said in the message.
