The Prime Minister also promises to raise the minimum salary.
The Cabinet of Ministers expects that the average salary will be raised in 2018 by 35%, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman told on Monday with regional mass media, according to the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers, Correspondent.net reports.
According to him, the government allows for the minimum salary, amounting to UAH 3,723, for the next year.
“Let us see, if the economy allows – we will raise it”, he noted.
“One more question is to raise the average salary in the country in 2018 to UAH 10,000 – with such exchange rate and prices as of today. Today, we have UAH 7,400. I think that by the end of the next year, we raise it to 10 thousand”, the Prime Minister added.
It should be reminded that President Petro Poroshenko stated that the minimal salary in Ukraine should be raised to 4,100 UAH.
