The fuel prices at the gas filling stations reached the so-called “psychological threshold” in 30 UAH per liter. The only factor, which caused the price increase today, is the devaluation of the hryvnia against the dollar, Fuel Market Expert Gennady Ryabtsev told UNN about it, UNN reports.
“Only the hryvnia can stabilize the price increase. The hryvnia stops, the prices stop. It is the only factor for today. Here is the direct dependence: each extra hryvnia in the exchange rate is plus 60 kopecks in the price of the liter of gasoline in two weeks”, he said.
According to the expert, if the exchange rate of hryvnia against dollar will be 30 UAH/USD, then some trademarks of gasoline will cost 32-33 UAH per liter.
“There was the increase in oil quotes on external markets; it was exclusively speculative and will unlikely remain at the level of more than 60 USD. It is more likely that we will see the pullback to 58 USD. If at this time the price stabilizes, then you may expect for the increase of discounts in GFS networks for loyal clients”, Ryabtsev added.
