While meeting with Qatar’s emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President Petro Poroshenko discussed the prospects of Qatari liquefied gas entry to Ukrainian market, according to the official website of the President.
Reportedly, Poroshenko expressed gratitude to Emir of Qatar for consistent position of his country on supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and informed him about the situation on Donbass due to RF’s continuing aggression against Ukraine.
“The increase in indicators of bilateral trade was also observed and the mutual interest in future expansion of cooperation in trade economic, investment, agricultural and defense spheres as well as in energy, transport, medicine, education and tourism was expressed”, the message says.
During negotiations, they also discussed the strengthening of cooperation in agriculture, energy and transport infrastructure sphere, in particular, port industry.
“The interlocutors discussed the prospects of Qatari liquefied gas entry to Ukrainian market. The parties agreed on conducting the intergovernmental economic commission in 2018”, according to the message.
