Ukraine will not refuse from the subsidy system just yet, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Rosenko reported to the journalists, UNN reports.
“Ukraine cannot refuse from subsidies just yet, the program of subsidy system proved its effectiveness. The number of subsidiaries can decrease in one case – when the living standards of Ukrainians can reach the level that they can independently pay for housing and utility services; until we do not have it, the subsidies will exist. That is why I am totally against cancellation of subsidies”, Rosenko reported.
It should be reminded that UNN reported to the Ministry of Social Policy that the monetization of subsidies will be carried out in one stage – from January 1, 2019, the subsidies to the population will be paid in cash. Meanwhile, the introduction of two payment mechanisms is also envisaged. The monetization itself will not influence the size and number of granted subsidies, but, in general, the Ministry of Social Policy prepares changes to the subsidy system in Ukraine.
