Special attention should be paid to small producers
Ministry of Agriculture and Food has launched a state-run program of the agricultural sector development up to 2020. Specific ways, means and mechanisms for implementation of the Strategy of the agricultural sector development up to 2020 will outline in this very document. So, first of all, this document aims to support small and medium producers and preservation of Ukrainian village. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk announced the plans, the press service of the Ministry informs.
"Creating a Strategy, we were not guided by the principles of a planned economy, such as "provide a crop! provide a plan!", but tried to develop conditions for investment, living in rural areas, conditions for businesses to take over some of the social welfare in villages" - said the head of department.
According to him and the Strategy, the main task is to make every effort to support small and medium producers and preserve Ukrainian village.
The Minister said that the Strategy was developed during the year. Its creation involved NGOs and various international structures. For now the general meetings are being held, including with relevant associations, to develop the state-run Program for the agricultural sector development up to 2020. The program will be announced in 2014.
