Quality of banks' work is not affected
In 2013 the number of bank regional divisions (branches and subsidiaries) decreased by 2.6% (or 498 units) and as at 12.01.2013 totaled 19.4 thousand, NABU reports.
Reduction did not have negative impact on the quality of banking services. As of 01.11.2013 per 100 thousand Ukrainian citizens there were 43 banking units, highest in the CIS.
As of 01.12.2013 Sberbank (5.59 thousand units), Privat (3.25 thousand), Raiffeisen Bank Aval (+0.83 thousand), UkrSibBank (0.61 thousand) and Nadra Bank (0.52 thousand) have the largest number of separate units - these banks account for almost 56% of the regional units of the banking system of Ukraine.
Maximum concentration of the banking regional network per 100 thousand people is observed in Kyiv (72 units) and Sevastopol (57 units), as well as the Crimea (52 units). The lowest level of coverage - in Ternopil, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions, where 100 million people account for 27 to 32 banking outlets.
