According to the estimates of Minister of Finance Alexander Danyliuk, Ukraine can make a deal on IMF next tranche, he told during interview with ET.
“My estimate is “we will succeed”, he responded to the question on tranche attraction.
“And we should do it in June, because without it, we will not be able to attract the necessary financial resource on external markets to finance the budget. We also planned to attract over two billion dollars in Q1. We lived for five months without this funding; however, later it will be more difficult”, the minister noted.
According to him, the budget 2018 was formed on the base that Ukraine will remain in IMF program, and the law on the Anticorruption Court should be approved by end 2017. The Verkhovna Rada voted for such budget.
“Without IMF, we will have to stop making significant costs”, Danyliuk emphasized.
“If there is no IMF, the budget sequestration is inevitable”, he summarized.
It should be reminded that IMF warned Groisman about the possible failure of the tranche.
