The Ministry of Infrastructure and Hyperloop Transportation Technologies negotiated cooperation in the sphere of Hyperloop vacuum train technologies.
On June 14, the respective memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Hyperloop, Ukrainian News reports.
Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian signed the memorandum on behalf of the ministry; CEO Dirk Ahlborn – on behalf of Hyperloop. It provides for cooperation in Hyperloop vacuum train technologies.
“Today, we signed the memorandum about cooperation between the company, which is the largest in the world in terms of development of Hyperloop technologies – transport of new generation, which will give the world an unprecedented speed, unprecedented possibilities and unprecedented technologies. One of results of this visit is our clear intention to jointly work on development of these technologies”, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian said during the signing ceremony.
The Minister added that he expects that soon RND-center and data-center will be opened in Ukraine. They will deal with not only Hyperloop technology, but also new materials, new components of modern transportation facilities of the world.
According to Omelian, the memorandum provides for joint development of technologies as well as the joint search for investors of this project.
The minister also noted that the project should be commercially successful. In addition, Omelian said that he expects for joint development of new types of logistics management.
It should be reminded that in late February, Omelian stated that it is planned to build a test platform in Dnipro for implementing the high-speed transportation system in Ukraine, like Hyperloop, he told after signing the memorandum on creation of the Center of Transport Innovations – HypeUA. CEO of Ukroboronprom Pavel Bukin appraised its value at $3 bln.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman noted later that the implementation of Hyperloop’s initiative will happen without support of Ukraine’s government.
