This year Christmas trees will not rise in price
This year Christmas trees for Ukrainians, on average, will cost 52-55 UAH (last year the average price ranged from 50 to 52 UAH), the chairman of the State Agency of forest resources of Ukraine Victor Sivets stated at the briefing, reports «UNN».
V ivets said that the tree under 1.5m would cost 50-60 UAH, from 1.5 m to 2 m - 60-75 UAH and from 2.5 to 3 m - 120-180 UAH.
Last year 1 million trees were sold, so this year State Forestry Agency prepared for Ukrainians 1.5 million Christmas trees.
In addition, V.Sivets stressed the need to buy a Christmas tree with an electronic chip with a hologram and barcode, since without such markings trees may come from the Chernobyl zone, and may be illegally felled.
