The populists and oligarchs hinder implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“As you know, there are many people in Ukraine, who do not like this agreement, who try to hinder the implementation of this agreement. We call them as populists, oligarchs. All of these people, who have interests, do not want to modernize the political and economic structure of this country”, the diplomat said.
According to him, there are the ministries, which are open for implementation of the Association Agreement, and there are those, who do not provide any support.
Mingarelli said that the situation in the committees of the Verkhovna Rada regarding the progress in implementation of the agreement is difficult.
The Ukrainian officials consider that the tasks, set forth in the Association Agreement, with the deadline in 2017, were fulfilled for 41% on the average.
