On Tuesday, Director of U.S. National Intelligence Dan Coats stated that he is concerned about the information on cyber threats regarding future U.S. elections, which are received from “several countries”, UNN reports quoting Reuters.
When delivering speech at the Intelligence and National Security Summit in Maryland, the Director of National Intelligence stated that during upcoming U.S. Congress elections, which will be held in November, there will be a threat of external interference, as well as during future presidential elections 2020.
“Our interdependence makes it easier for our enemies to conduct transactions, using the destructive information in order to sow discord and disrupt our democracy and values, as we saw it during the efforts of Russia and other countries”, Coats stated.
