Arming increased for the first time in many years
In 2014 defense spending has increased on a global scale for the first time since 2009. Increasing the arming is observed in Russia, Asia and the Middle East, the Bloomberg writes.
Last year, four of the five fastest growing weapons markets were in the Middle East. Nowhere the volume of costs has increased as rapidly as in the region. Over the past two years, only Oman and Saudi Arabia have increased their military budgets by more than 30 %. Only the Saudi Arabia's budget has tripled over the past 10 years.
However, the situation is changing rapidly. Until 2015 total defense budget of Russia and China will exceed the cost of military in the European Union.
Russia, Asia and the Middle East will provoke the growth of global military spending and accelerate the resumption of defense market to 2016. It is projected that over the next three years, Russia will increase defense spending by more than 44%. Today, it ranks third in the world in terms of spending on arms. U.S. is in the first place of military expenditures with $ 582.4 billion in payments before 2013. China is the second after the U.S. with $ 139.2 billion in spending.
