The property being bought is worth more than £1 mln
The latest case study of the real estate market in the UK capital shows that the most expensive properties in London are more often acquired by foreign buyers, as reported by Metro.
Last year four out of ten London’s mansions were sold to the foreigners for more than £1 mln. The citizens of Russia head the list of foreign buyers. They purchased 264 buildings last year.
Vice-President of a company that has carried the market research said: “London is the most attractive city in the world, and it is not surprising that the London’s market of super-prime property is so appealing to international buyers».
Last year a number of buildings sold for £1 mln in Greater London grew to 6145, this is 20% more than in 2012. The Russians spent more than £536 mln on purchase of the London’s houses. The Indian buyers, having paid £449 mln, and the Italians are placed second and third, respectively.
