The National Aviation Service reports
On August 14, 2014, 20:00, Kyiv standard time, the National Aviation Service of Ukraine approved the regulations for some Russian air carriers making transit flights from the Russian Federation through the air space of Ukraine.
The above is first of all applied to the air companies such as Transaero and Aeroflot Russian Airlines that make transit flights through the air space of Ukraine on route to Bulgaria, Israel, Turkey, Egypt and Greece.
From now on, the said airlines can fly across the air space of Ukraine provided that they have obtained a permit from the National Aviation Service of Ukraine for a flight.
This will ensure appropriate aviation security and safety, thus, will sort transit flights through Ukraine made before by the airlines neglecting the international flights rules that specify travelling in the closed air space over the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and closed airfield Simferopol.
It is worth noting that the air space over the anti-terrorist zone has been completely closed, the same is applied to the airports in Crimea. Ukraeroruh fully controls the routes, safety and security of transit flights over other regions of Ukraine.
