The experts of International Monetary Fund (IMF) provided a positive opinion regarding the inclusion of Chinese yuan in reserve currency basket, Prime reports.
“Technically everything is proceeding according to plan, there are no obvious political obstacles. The expert opinion, stated in the report, tends to yuan inclusion in the basket”, as IMF said, adding that the decision is supervised by the board of directors of the fund.
As Bloomberg reports, quoting the unnamed Chinese officials, that Beijing is preparing “victorious announces”, as the signals, received during the meeting with IMF representatives, had a definite character.
The IMF Board of Governors previously extended the current reserve currency basket for one year. Thus, if in November the decision regarding yuan is taken, then the Chinese currency can be included in the basket in October 2016. Currently US dollar, euro, pound sterling and yen are included in reserve currency basket.
