Today, the popular messenger Viber announced about the launch of a new platform for business – public accounts, AIN.UA reports.
As reported, they will help companies and brands to openly interact with messenger’s audience, and it is 800 mln users worldwide and 16 mln in Ukraine. The service is available since today and is still free; however, the company does not exclude that, in the future, public accounts will have paid functions.
The public accounts represent the channels, which can be used in the work of sales and marketing departments, help desk, for sending newsletters and other purposes.
According to Viber’s COO Michael Shmilov, apps interface can be optimized for the needs of every particular organization.
After the creation of public account, the administrators can send messages to subscribers by different ways: through CRM system, manually in personal chat or with the help of chat-bots, which the developers will be able to create by themselves (Viber does not make its own bots). The public accounts also have the following capabilities:
brand search services;
direct integration into Viber’s program interface
communication through public chats.
