Russia and Algeria will conduct bilateral consultations on security issues and the fight against terrorism, including the cyberterrorism, RNS reports quoting the Algerian information agency Algerie Press Service and the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria.
The issues of the fight with the regional and international terrorism, cyberterrorism and cybercrime were touched during the consultations. The parties will discuss major regional conflicts and crises, in particular, in Lebanon, Mali, Syria, West Sahara as well as the relation between terrorism and organized crime.
Undersecretary of the Security Council of Russian Federation Alexander Venediktov will represent the Russian party, while Minister for Maghreb, African Union and League of Arabian countries Abdelkader Messahel will represent Algeria. The negotiations will be held in the Algiers.
The first round of Russian and Algerian consultations on security was held in Moscow in summer 2016.
