VEB will create the Russia’s largest platform for conducting Russian and foreign industry examination of its projects in the economy, which will unite dozens of thousands of experts, Senior Vice President and Head of Expert and Analytical Directorate Dmitrii Ivanchenko said to RIA News.

“For obtaining operative first class Russian and foreign industry examination, VEB will create expert platform, which will unite dozens of thousands of experts and will become the largest platform in Russia”, Ivanchenko said, specifying that this platform will help check and assess market risks, background of the financial model, legislative risks of the project etc.

VEB will need expert evaluation at the stage of preliminary and complex examination of projects in compliance with strategy priorities in the industry, infrastructure, non-resource export, promotion of the process of conversion of defense-specific technologies into civil, support of innovations and projects of the National Technical Initiative (NTI) for obtaining the examination on the current project portfolio.

According to Ivanchenko, the signed agreement with Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), which stipulates the provision of analytical and expert support to Vnesheconombank activities, namely the involvement of experts from RAS’ Institute of Independent Examination became the first step for the creation of expert platform.

“Currently, technical issues and algorithm of interaction with RAS are being processed. In July-August, VEB plans to launch the examination, based on the pilot project from the bank portfolio”, Ivanchenko said.

RAS’ Institute of Independent Expertise has 7,265 thousands of experts, who represent 79 regions of the Russian Federation. As of today, it is the RF’s largest expert panel, VEB’s Senior Vice President concluded.
