For the first time in history, the online retailer Amazon topped Google’s owner Alphabet Inc. in capitalization and ranked second after Apple, PRIME reports.
As per the auction results, the market value of Amazon was USD 768.04 billion, and Alphabet – USD 761.42 billion. The cost of one Amazon’s stock increased by 2.69% to USD 1.586 ths as per the results of Tuesday.
Now, only Apple with capitalization of USD 889.17 billion tops the online retailer.
In February, in terms of the market value, Amazon topped IT giant Microsoft, the capitalization of which is USD 717.08 billion dollars.
Amazon is one of the largest online retailer in the world. Except for USA, the company works in Canada, China, Brazil, Japan and European countries.
It should be reminded that in 2017, U.S. online retailer Amazon became the most expensive brand, raising from the third position of the ranking.
