Last year, U.S. losses in international trade amounted to $817 bln, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted, finance.ua reports.
He presented trade statistics to respond to his political opponents, which criticize him for imposing tariffs on EU and Chinese goods that put U.S. on the line of trade war with its main partners.
“Every time I see a weak politician asking to stop trade talks or the use of tariffs to counter unfair tariffs, I wonder, what can they be thinking? – Trump wrote, - Are we just going to continue and let our farmers and country get ripped off? Lost $817 billion on trade last year. No weakness!”
