The banks started providing SFS with information on the accounts of individual entrepreneurs, SFS’ Deputy Head Evgeni Bambizov wrote in Facebook, UNN reports.

"The mechanism of interaction between SFS and banking institutions in exchange of information on the individuals’ accounts, who have the self-employed person status, came into effect. There are already the data from banks", Bambizov said.

He reminded that in summer, SFS sent a request to banks to provide information on all individuals who have opened accounts.

According to him, such a decision was made due to the fact that a major part of individual entrepreneurs hides their true revenues, using the accounts opened at the request of individuals, for the entrepreneurial activity (specifically - for payments for services and goods). In particular, out of almost 2 million self-employed persons, only 964,000 individual entrepreneurs have bank accounts, opened for the entrepreneurial activity.

"Consequently, it is a question of deliberate understating of their business turnover, tax evasion. According to preliminary estimates, therefore, the budget bears significant losses - it's about billions of hryvnias", Bambizov added.

He specified that SFS processes the first information, received from banks about the individual entrepreneurs’ accounts. And the preliminary analysis shows that only one third of them are opened as the accounts for doing business.

It should be reminded that individual entrepreneurs and self-employed persons have the right to receive the material security, insurance payments and social services under the social insurance.
