The European Union and Ukraine on Friday will sign a memorandum on the provision of 1 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Kyiv, EP.
This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko during his speech at the forum of the Yalta European Strategy (YES).
"I am pleased to welcome the great friend of Ukraine Valdis Dombrovskis (Vice-President of the European Commission - EP), thank you that today we have brought a document on the provision of 1 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, which we agreed at the Eastern Partnership summit, today we will sign it, said the president.
Poroshenko also thanked for the decision to extend the sanctions against 150 individuals and about 50 Russian companies.
"The news that the EU court refused to lift sanctions from Russian companies and banks, we are also pleased," - said the head of state.
Recall, the Council of the European Union on June 26 approved the allocation of 1 billion euros of macrofinance to Ukraine.
