The government reckons on billions of dollars of foreign investments
The government authorities of Ukraine announced some measures were undertaken to build up so called sites – to create the economic zones – in order to facilitate entrepreneurial activities in the Ukrainian regions. In the experts’ opinion, this will help raise the funds in the amount of up to $10 bln to be invested into projects that will drive the economic growth, the Segodnia reports.
Five industrial parks have been officially registered already. These zones are designed to give place for future highly technological manufactures. The certificates have been issued to Lviv, Kremenchug (Poltava oblast), Korosten (Zhytomyr oblast.), Dolyna (Ivano-Frankivsk oblast) and Slavuta (Khmelnytsky oblast). The formation of the industrial parks will allow attracting to Ukraine around $10 bln in investments during the next 3-5 years. «The efficiency of such projects is confirmed by the Czechs experience: in five years they managed to get 43 euros for each invested euro, in the form of foreign investments», — Chair of the National Investment Project Sergei Evtushenko says.
The first city the foreign investments will be allocated is Lviv: a new Japanese car spare parts factory will be soon constructed there. It is expected that this factory will be built in the industrial zone Riasnoe -2. The municipal authorities are now preparing the site for the factory, with the total area of 25 hectares. It is planned to offer job opportunities for about 3 thousand specialists after the factory will commence its operation.
Besides creation of the technology parks, the Ukrainian government has intent to boost the domestic high tech manufacturing and development of the IT-industry.
