The funds allotted will be used for the nuclear power plant safety
The deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for draft bill №0081 titled On Ratification of Guarantee Agreement (Ukraine: comprehensive (combined) program for enhancing safety and security of the nuclear power plant units) signed between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The draft was voted on and supported by 239 deputies, the RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports.
Moreover, the parliamentarians have supported draft bill №0082 on ratification of a guarantee agreement between Ukraine as the guarantor and the European Atomic Energy Community “as the creditor in relation to the loan mechanism”, the amount of which totals €300 million, dd. August 7, 2013, concluded between the National Nuclear Power Generating Company Energoatom and Euratom that will help embed the comprehensive (combined) program for enhancing safety and security of nuclear power plant units. 227 deputies voted “aye”.
