The inspectorate is auditing the accounts payable

Within the previous week (from 08.05.2014 to 15.05.2014) the State Financial Inspectorate of Ukraine conducted a series of checks resulted in the following: it did not confirm the accounts payable the spending units at the central and local government administrations are in charge of, which totalled around UAH 7,6 million, the press-service of the ministerial department  reports.

So, the Social Policy Service at the Barsky District Government Administration in Vinnitsa oblast did not confirm the accounts payable balances which amount equalled UAH 540 thousand, for the purchase of apartments, because primary documents that can prove ownership of property were not submitted.

The Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Ambulance Service in Kyiv city reported its accounts payable being higher by UAH 510 thousand than they actually were. This ensued after contractors overstated the scope of work and overhaul costs for refurbishment of its premises.

After the contractors overstated the scope and construction costs of sports grounds, G. Skovoroda Kharkov National Pedagogical University inflated the value of accounts payable by over UAH 425 thousand.

It has been already reported that in pursuance of resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. 01.03.2014 №65 On Government Budget Funds and Cuts, the State Financial Inspectorate of Ukraine is making audits to verify the accounts payable showing payment for goods, works and services made by the spending units at the central and local government administrations. The outcome of checks is the accounts payable not confirmed added up to around UAH 327 hryvnias, in total.
