The court date has not set yet
The Deposit Insurance Fund in Crimea (the structure of the agency that guarantees payment of savings compensations to depositors, АСВ) filed a claim to the Simferopol City Court against PrivatBank for reimbursement of compensations paid to the depositors of the bank, informed Deputy Director of АСВ Andrei Melnikov, The Kommersant paper («КоммерсантЪ») says.
The claim was accepted by the court on May 16. The date of the court sitting has not been set yet. Mr. Melnikov has not revealed the claim amount telling only it is not large and calculated based on the amount of compensations actually paid.
Afterwards, the more applications of depositors are processed, the bigger the amount of the compensations will be.
According to the preliminary АСВ’s estimates, total value of the fund’s obligations to the Crimean dwellers who lodged their money on the savings accounts is about 30-35 billion roubles, with the PrivatBanks’ making up a half.
At PrivatBank, they did not comment on the claim except saying they did not receive any notifications.
