The two issues of bonds
On May 27, 2014 the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine allotted two series of government bonds totalling UAH 2,544 million, according to the press-service of the ministerial department.
«As of May 27, 2014, according to the results of the scheduled placement of bonds, the government raised 2 543 857 127,48 hryvnias (at the NBU rate)», - the statement says.
In particular, two-week bonds in US dollar were allotted at 3% annual interest amounting to UAH $214,77 million, with the maturity date on July 11, 2014.
Additionally, two-week bonds in hryvnias becoming due on May 18, 2016were placed at 17% annual interest amounting to UAH 20,063 million.
