The Ministry of Social Policy reports
During five months of 2014 the government has fully financed spending on social security benefits, what made it possible to pay retirement and social benefits in full, said Minister of Social Policy Lyudmila Denisova, the press-service reports.
The Minister noted that both funding and payment of social security benefits is being done timely and as scheduled. In particular, the monthly pensions and payments in May to low-income families, disabled children and those disabled since childhood have been already paid. Besides, in her opinion, financing of retirement benefits to be paid in June will commence on May 28, so 20,4 million hryvnias in total will be disbursed during a month to cover social security expenditure.
«That’s a pity that it appeared impossible to make payments to pensioners of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk in May. Yet, the money is kept on the accounts of the Pension Fund, so as soon as the situation is stabilized in the region, and should the possibility to deliver the money by armoured cars arise, the pensions will be immediately paid out to retirees», – assured Liudmila Denisova.
