Yet, the imports have dropped by 20%
The receipts of the Ukrainian customs in the recent five months of 2014 have surged up by 13% in dollar terms, the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Arseny Yatsenyuk told the Verkhovna Rada when reporting on the government’s 100-days in office, The RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports.
«The import volume in the recent five months has fallen by 20%, but the customs receipts have grown by 13% in dollar terms», - said A. Yatsenyuk.
He noted that excise duty on alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in May increased by 40%, as regards oil products; they gave an additional yield of 2 billion hryvnias.
«This year the decline in economy is expected to be 5%, however, everything will depend on further events in the eastern regions», - said Yatsenyuk.
