Government officials evaluate expenses
It is necessary to spend over 2.15 billion hryvnias to renovate the infrastructure components that have been damaged or entirely destructed in the hostilities in the eastern Ukraine. This is precisely the amount of losses from unauthorized interference with road network in the eastern region, the specialists of road construction and surfacing companies in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts said in mid-July, the press-office of Ukravtodor reports.
As said Head of the National Agency for Automobile Roads in Ukraine Sergey Pidgainy, according to the preliminary data, the cost of renovating of the infrastructure in Donetsk oblast is 735.1 million hryvnias, in Luhansk oblast – 1423.3 million hryvnias.
«The aftermath of this destruction is that a few boroughs in Donetsk oblast have been left without electricity. To settle the problem, pontoon bridging and access roads have been set up to ensure communication with people staying in the zone of hostilities», – Sergey Pidgainy remarked.
