Financial institutions in the east of Ukraine resume suspended payments
As of August 20, 2014, the money disbursed to pay pensions to retirees this month have been remitted to the accounts of the financial institutions located in Donetsk, Avdiivka, Amvrosiivka as well as Starobeshivsky district in Donetsk oblast, the press-office of the Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy reports.
On the whole, financing and payment of pensions are being made in 28 districts and boroughs in Donetsk oblast. However, the money has not been handed over to Snizhne, Horlivka, Enakieve, Zhdanivka, Kirovske, Makiivka, Torez, Khartsizsk, Shakhtarsk and Shakhtarsky district, Yasynuvata and Yasynuvata district.
As regards Luhansk oblast, payment of statutory pensions will be made in 13 districts and boroughs. Moreover, telephone communication with the most branches of the Pension Fund and Oschadbank in Luhansk oblast is not available. Therefore, to transfer funds to ensure making payments of pensions in other districts and boroughs in Luhansk oblast is impossible.
In general, around16 billion hryvnias have been already disbursed this month. In particular, postal units have enough funds to pay pensions to retirees till August 22, inclusively, financial institutions – till August 21, 2014, inclusively.
