50 million hryvnias to reduce the rates for population
With the purpose of facilitating fulfilment of the energy efficiency program, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allotted 500 million hryvnias, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Ostap Semerak said.
According to Mr. Semerak, in embedding the energy efficiency program, around 500 million hryvnias out of the money given by the European Union will be used till the end of the year to replace gas boilers into boilers representing alternative heating solutions, as well as to heat buildings and replace the windows into insulated glass ones.
According to the minister, 50 million hryvnias out of a total amount will help to reduce the rates for population. “The government has resolved to draw up the procedure for lowering the rates for population, the deadline to earmark the funds for energy efficiency measures is a week”, – the government official added.
