Only one application stating the intended use of currency
The National Bank of Ukraine announces the auction of dollar to be sold for hryvnia, the NBU’s announcement available on its Facebook official website says.
The date of the auction: the 8th of September, 2014. The contracted foreign currency: US dollar. Type of transaction: sale of foreign currency to meet clients’ demands. The minimum amount to be stated in the application submitted to participate in the auction: $1000. Every bank can file only one application stating the intended use of the money it is going to buy.
Collateral in national currency to buy a foreign currency is to be 100% per application, at the rate set by the bank.
Collateral in local currency to buy a foreign currency is to be transferred to the NBU’s account up to 3.00.p.m. Kyiv time, on September 4, 2014.
The foreign currency bought at the auction is to be used as intended within five business days from the date of crediting the money to the correspondent account. The bank is to hand over the foreign currency not used as intended which amount exceeds $1000 to the NBU.
If total amount of the foreign currency not used does not exceed $1000, the bank can use it for a different purpose.
