Pay-outs to depositors will be restarted in seven days after revocation of the banking license
As far as the tenure of interim administration at JSC Evrogazbank ended and in view of a less costly method of removal of insolvent Evrogazbank from the market – to liquidate the insolvent bank and ensure deposit refund by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, the Fund has applied to the National Bank of Ukraine asking to recall the banking license and liquidate JSC Evrogazbank, the press-office of the Fund reports.
Given the fact that it is required to complete a full technological cycle of drafting a list of depositors having the right for refund during a liquidation period, pay-outs to depositors of JSC Evrogazbank through branches of PJSC Kyiv Rus Bank were suspended on 13.11.2014.
At the same time, the Fund informs that pay-outs to the Evrogazbank depositors will be restarted not later than seven days from the date of revocation of the banking license and beginning of the liquidation procedure set by the NBU, and will be continued by the depositors irrespective of the expiry date of their agreements.
