The capital adequacy ratio (Н2) across the Ukrainian banking system fell from 13.8% up to 7.37% in February, while the minimum ratio set by the NBU equals 10%, the Ministry of Finance (Мінфін) reports.
According to the data from the NBU made available on Tuesday, such decrease has been caused by reduction in regulatory capital of banks from 166.88 billion at the beginning of February to 117.65 billion in early March.
Besides, the credit risk per counteragent has come close to the maximum level set by the NBU, upon the results for February, - 23.73% (Н7, maximum - 25%) and high credit risk ratio – 755.47% (Н8, maximum – 8 - multiple of regulatory capital).
At the beginning of 2015 regulatory capital in the System of Ukrainian banks made up 188950 million hryvnias, while ratios were as follows: Н2 – 15.6%, Н7 – 22.01% and Н8 – 250.04%.
