Ukraine has paid $75 million to Russia to reimburse its debt of $3 billion eurobonds, Prime (Прайм) reports, citing the data from the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Finance.
"Ukraine has already paid, but the money has not received yet - technical processing is underway", the ministry says.
At the end of 2013, Russia bought $3 billion in Ukraine’s sovereign bonds. The payoff due date was the end of 2015. The next coupon matured on June 20, but as far as it was a weekend, Russia expected to receive the money lent on June 22.
