Facebook is working on 'dislike button', Facebook chief executive Zuckerberg said during the interview, Vesti (Вести) reports.
“I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years and hundreds of users have requested it. Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we’re working on it and shipping it,” Zuckerberg said.
He admitted the firm had held back on launching the button amid fears it would become similar to Reddit, where users can upvote and downvote posts.
Zuckerberg noted that ‘dislike button’ will allow users to express empathy, rather than upvote certain posts.
However, the firm did not say when the new feature will be available for users.
