In 2015 the losses of Ukrainian banks exceeded UAH 66 mln, and the banking system of Ukraine renewed the record annual loss rate.
As per NBU data, as of January 1, 2016, the gross loss of operating banks, exclusive of insolvent, made up UAH 66.6 billion, and in the previous year it was on the level of UAH 52.966 billion, Correspondent.net reports.
According to the message, 71 banks ended 2015 with the profit, the total amount of which made up UAH 5.2 billion, including that in December 63 banks made profit for the total amount of UAH 21.2 bln.
The revenues of banks for 2015 vs. 2014 increased by 19.4% and made up UAH 199.2 bln, the expenses increased by 34.4% - up to UAH 265.8 billion.
As it is noted in the message, from December 1, 2015, banks changed for international accounting standards, due to which the correction of interest revenues was conducted, which became the main factor for forming the loss of the banking system in December at the level of UAH 9.3 bln.
It should be noted that as per World Competitiveness Ranking, the banks of Ukraine ranked last in the world in terms of reliability among 140 countries.
