The Speaker of the Parliament has given people’s deputies a week for tackling the political crisis, Correspondent.net reports.
The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Groisman stated that the previous actions of parliamentarians just aggravated crisis in the country and emphasized the necessity to reload government and, if necessary, the parliament.
“Yesterday, on the one hand, the parliament acknowledged the work of government unsatisfactory, on the other hand – could not give the necessary number of votes to dismiss it, did not resolve the crisis, just on the contrary, aggravated it”, - he said, opening the session of the parliament.
“And I think that everything is simple. Whether within one week the decision will be found here, in the parliament, by political forces, and the model for handling this situation will be proposed, or government should be fully reloaded, and, if necessary, this parliament as well”, - Groisman reports.
The other day the Verkhovna Rada reportedly was not able to vote for the draft resolution on impeachment of the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by Arsenii Yatseniuk. 194 people’s deputies voted for the resignation of government, while 226 are minimum required.
A number of deputies stated that the voting system Rada did not count their votes and required to revote for the question of the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers.
