The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine attracted the loan, amounting to EUR 400 mln, from EIB for business development.
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine attracted a loan of the European Investment Bank in the amount of EUR 400 million for supporting Ukrainian business, Ministry of Finance press-office reported on Tuesday, RIA-News reports.
“The Ministry of Finance attracted from the European Investment Bank a loan in the amount of EUR 400 mln for credit support of the real sector of Ukraine’s economy and development of the small and medium business”, as the message says.
The department noted that the loan was attracted for financing small and medium business projects as well as social and economic infrastructure projects, including projects on energy efficiency, mitigating climate change consequences and adaptation to them.
The loan funds of investment bank will be aimed at financing medium- and long-term investment needs (up to 10 years) and medium-term working capital (up to 2 years) of enterprises of the private sector of Ukraine’s economy.
Meanwhile, the size of loans, on which companies can count – from EUR 25 million for small and medium enterprises and up to 50 million for companies with the number of employees of more than 3 thousand people.
