Necessary reforms need to be implemented for obtaining financial aid according to “Marshall’s plan”.

Ukrainian authorities should promptly implement necessary reforms for obtaining financial aid according to “Marshall’s plan” for more than EUR 100 bln, Bundestag deputy, co-chairman of "German-Ukrainian group of parliamentarians" Karl-Georg Wellman said in the interview to ICTV, Ukrinform reports.

“We are ready to help, and my proposal was to make up something like “Marshall’s Plan” – more than €100 bln. Though we have already €30 bln, we cannot apply this money, because Ukraine does not implement reforms. No reforms – no money. This is the condition”, German deputy stated.

To his belief, Ukraine should do first what is called “homework”, because in Germany there is a big disappointment regarding the lack of reforms.

“There is a need in immediate political and administrative reform. There are no illusions. And everything, what is happening in Ukraine, is subject to very powerful monitoring”, Karl-Georg Wellman stated.

Bundestag deputy also replied to the direct question regarding what will be the sign of implemented reforms.

“Firstly, there will be a judicial reform – this is a cornerstone. Independent judges, independent prosecutors – this is first. And we should really obtain significant European reforms in Ukraine. We need reliable structures, reliable government. We hear very much that there is concern regarding the resignation of the acting Prime-Minister, the new one will be appointed – the words should become finally actions”, the deputy stated.
