The first lot of dairy products of Ukrainian production was delivered to EU.
The first lot of dairy products of Ukrainian production was delivered to the European Union, UNN reports, quoting the press-office of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy.
As per data of the department, the first lot of dairy products from Ukraine was exported to Bulgaria. Two national enterprises of group of companies “Milk Alliance” became the first exporters of Ukrainian dairy products.
“Ukrainian milk-processing companies obtained access to EU market from the European Commission on January 10. And today we acknowledge progress in promotion of national producer of milk and dairy products to the European Union market. This testifies that the globally recognized products of proper quality and security are produced in Ukraine”, Minister Alexei Pavlenko noted.
Pavlenko also added that today agriculture is the key export industry in Ukraine. The share of agricultural sector in Ukraine’s total export makes up 38%, in addition, the agricultural sphere provided for 12% of total GDP volume.
The minister also noted that in 2015-2016 Ukraine opened eleven new countries for almost 300 companies of meat and milk industry.
