The agreements have been reached on extending EFF program, Hubs reports.
As per results of the visit to Ukraine the Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reached agreement with representatives of Ukrainian authorities on Extended Financing Facility (EFF), according to the Fund’s press-release.
“These agreements should be approved by the management of IMF and IMF Executive Board”, - as the message says.
According to the mission’s leader Ron van Rooden, for the last year Ukraine managed to achieve significant progress in recovery of economic stability, despite difficult conditions.
“The persistent implementation of structural and institutional reforms is currently important for conversion of the recently achieved upsurge into the stable and sustainable growth, and the steely determination in fight against corruption is the touchstone for government ability to retain a wide domestic and international support of its policy”, he said.
“That’s why it is important that authorities strengthen their efforts on strengthening fiscal and financial stability, determined enhancement of transparency and ensuring the supremacy of the law as well as on reforming a large and ineffective sector of public enterprises”, Ruden emphasized.
It is expected that the IMF Board meeting, during which the extension of EFF program will be discussed, will take place in July 2016.
